In addition to assisting with production tasks, you will also be responsible for handling inventory and ensuring adequate supplies are available for manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
Material Preparation:
Assist in preparing stone materials (e.
g.
, granite, marble) for sandblasting, including cleaning, masking, and applying stencils or templates for engraving.
Inspect materials for defects and ensure they meet quality requirements before proceeding with sandblasting.
Sandblasting Operations:
Learn to set up and operate sandblasting equipment under supervision to etch designs, letters, and artwork onto headstones and memorial plaques.
Follow instructions and guidelines for adjusting settings such as pressure, nozzle size, and abrasive material.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of stone materials, abrasive materials, stencils, and other supplies used in manufacturing.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory, including tracking usage, reordering materials as needed, and coordinating deliveries.
Quality Control Assistance:
Support quality control efforts by inspecting finished products alongside experienced craftsmen to verify accuracy, clarity, and overall quality of engravings.
Assist in making adjustments or corrections as needed to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Manufacturing Support:
Provide assistance in various manufacturing tasks, including cutting, shaping, and polishing stone materials for headstones.
Collaborate with craftsmen and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
Safety and Maintenance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times when operating machinery, handling abrasive materials, and working in the manufacturing environment.
Participate in routine maintenance tasks for sandblasting equipment and other tools to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including material usage, equipment maintenance, inventory levels, and quality checks.
Document any issues or concerns encountered during manufacturing processes and report them to supervisors or designated personnel.
